Internal cavity drain membrane systems offer a highly effective and flexible approach to managing water ingress in existing below-ground structures. Rather than attempting to stop groundwater at source, a Type C cavity drain system controls and manages water that enters the structure, channelling it to a sump and pump arrangement and maintaining a dry internal environment.
Lainton Services Limited specialises in the design and installation of internal cavity drain systems.
Our CSSW-accredited surveyors assess each project individually to ensure the correct specification and a robust, long-lasting installation.
Before specifying a cavity drain system, our CSSW surveyors carry out a thorough inspection of the existing structure to assess the source and volume of water ingress, the condition of the substrate, and any structural issues that may affect installation. This survey informs the full system design including membrane specification, drainage channel layout, sump sizing and pump selection.
During installation, progress inspections are carried out at each stage and all work is signed off by our accredited project manager before the next phase commences. Completion documentation including the BS8102 design certificate is issued to the client at handover.
